The Waltons is Family Drama at its Best
My favorite TV show is one that you can only find in re-runs on certain cable networks. It’s “The Waltons,” and it was produced back in the 1970s. The series is about the Walton family who grew up on a mountain in rural Virginia during the depression and the days leading up to World War II. What makes me love this show are the family values and work ethic it consistently displays in every episode. Told through the eyes of the oldest son, there is always a moral to the story by the end of the show, and love does conquer all, even when the ultimate tragedies befall John Walton and his family. The show is also available on DVD for at-home enjoyment. It is family drama at its best.
