So much TV, so little time

‘House’ is one of my favorite shows but other than that I don’t really care too much for medical dramas. Legal and police dramas these days are pretty boring too. So other than the news, college football or the MLB I usually go for a good sitcom or reality series. ‘Survivor’ and ‘American Idol’ are two of my favorite reality shows. ‘Two and a Half Men’ and ‘The Big Bang Theory’ are my two favorite sitcoms. I guess I’m just a nerd like Sheldon and the crew so if I had to pick a favorite I guess I would pick them.

$500 is burning a hole in my pocket

MSI laptop computer

I’ve just been given a $500 gift to spend at the mall and I’m thinking about what I’m going to buy with it. I really would like a big HD TV but I’m not sure about the quality at that price. So, my second choice is a laptop. I’ve never had one and I really could use one. I spend all day at my desktop and it gets mighty tiring sometimes. It sure would be nice to be able to relax on the couch or bed and work sometimes. I think I can get a pretty good laptop for around $500. Yeah, that’s the ticket!

Living an Unfulfilled Life

My life currently stands unfulfilled.  I have accomplished many things in my life; including going to college, finding the love of my life, and becoming a fireman; but there is still much, much more left to do.  My lovely lady and I have yet to have to raise our kids and see them succeed in life.  I have also dreamed of becoming a captain at my fire department.  To do this I still need to become certified in a number of areas and I intend to become certified as soon as possible.  I may even want to become chief of my department.  The most important accomplishment that still looms is finding a house in the country, and staying away from the city.

Papaw Willie

My grandfather, Tsi Lan Tsang, a World War II ...

My grandfather has always been the most influential person in my life.  Papaw Willie is what I have always called him.  This man was never able to go to school because he had to work on his family’s farm, and there were more important things to do then to waste time in a classroom.  My grandfather eventually got older and followed in his own father’s steps and joined the Army.  Later, he came back home and settled down and built a family.  The inspiration he has given me comes from the fact that, even though his life has been very hard, he has not given in and he has always been a person to look up to.  Everyone in town calls him Papaw and all the children love him.  I hope to accomplish at least half of what he has.
