This past week has not been too interesting, mostly because so much time was spent working. January is always a tough time for the finances, because it is the time of recuperation after the holidays and my kids’ birthdays. However, there was enough time to get a few good walks in. Fortunately the weather warmed up and the major snow and ice melted so it was possible to walk normally and not have to worry about slipping and breaking any bones. Other than that, the necessary shopping trips were made and in the evenings I always made sure to get some “me-time”. This included video games, surfing the net or talking with friends or family on the phone.
Among the animal kingdom, dogs have a unique feature of showing its gratitude by waving its tail in an excellent way. Among the various varieties seen in the dog’s arena, there are indigenous and exotic breeds which include Pomeranian, German shepherd, Cierny Sery, Greater Swiss Mountain dog, Belgian sheep dog are in surveillance. Dogs are good friend of human in smelling the thieves and as a security in the odd hours in the houses. There are different materials used as safety products for dogs in withstanding the seasonal fluctuations. Dogs are to be given proper attention while using dog clothes since some infection also may affect the skin of dogs, which would cause skin rashes and skin sores. Daily cleaning is very essential in having the health hygiene of dogs.
While outside with my boys last week, we heard a pathetic meowing coming from the bushes next to the road. As I called out, “Kitty kitty?” a tiny little tortoise shell cat crept forward. She spotted my sons, who had gotten quiet, and sat on the ground, and went running to my youngest son. We played outside for about an hour, with the kitty all the while playing with the boys and getting to know me as well. As we prepared to troop inside, the kitty came in on her own too. Uh-oh. The cat moved it, and I didn’t even realize it. A full week later, and the kitty has us trained. We all know our lives will never, ever be the same again. She is a riot, and plays with the boys as if she was a dog, and she chases the dog- who out weighs her by at least seventy pounds. I am waving the white flag in surrender. This kitty stole my heart and now rules us with her tiny paws and green eyes.
My husband and I recently were asked if we could have lunch with any three people, who would they be? He named some good ones, but I chose a few different people. My choices were Dave Ramsey, for his financial wisdom and the fact that he has the true heart of a teacher. Dave has years of acquired knowledge, and is a kind, generous person that I look up to. My second choice was Glenn Beck. While Mr. Beck is controversial, he too is a wealth of information, a strong family man, and incredibly intelligent. My third choice was Rush Limbaugh. Both he and Mr. Beck are not afraid to speak their minds. Neither is Dave Ramsey. I really feel that would be an incredibly educational lunch!
So, what makes dogs comfortable? Well, to start with, nothing makes a dog more comfortable and happy than an owner’s love. I truly believe that a well-loved and cared for dog is probably happy regardless of what kind of toys or bed it has. There of course are still ways to increase a dog’s physical comfort. There are obvious things such as making sure it always has fresh water to drink and is kept inside when it is very hot or cold outside. Another thing that most dogs love is a good dog bed, whether it is a regular, comfy dog bed or one of the many orthopedic dog beds that are available. Either way, having a nice comfortable place to sleep is a great thing for a dog! I always make sure my dog is comfortable and I hope others do the same!
Most women, when asked their favorite food, would instantly say “Chocolate”! While I dearly love chocolate, my favorite food has to be a steak. There was a time, when I raised my own beef, and I came to highly appreciate a well aged, seasoned carefully, grilled steak. Add some mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and I am one happy, HAPPY woman. Wash it all down with a rare (at least for me) Mudslide, and all will be right in my world. Since I am such a cheap date, one Mudslide in me and all will be “right” in my world whether it really is or not!
But I love them. My immediate family consists of two wild and wound young boys, my amazing husband, a dog that thinks she is a small, folically challenged child, a horse who thinks he is a dog, and most recently, a cat. I’m not sure what the cat thinks SHE is, but it sure isn’t a CAT. There is never, ever a dull moment in this household. Ever. The cat bosses the dog around, the dog bosses the children around, and I try to keep up with the insanity that seems to follow in their wake. Sure makes for an interesting life though!
Doing laundry the other day, I decided that I REALLY need to do some clothes shopping. It seems all I have these days are, from the ground up: Battered and worn Ariat boots, socks that have lost their elasticity, jeans that are stained and worn, and t-shirts that have seen better days. Granted, these are work clothes, and since my job is horses and hoof care, I’ll never have to dress as a fashion model. But still- it might be nice to have some jeans that don’t have blood stains on them. (Don’t worry the blood is mine. I use sharp tools, and often scrape myself.) Time for some shopping indeed.
I am having German Sheppard male dog. Name is my dog is Simba. We selected this name after watching movie lion king. My dog has real killer instincts. The people who pass by side of my dog get really afraid. My dog loves hide and seek game. In this game I just hide somewhere and my dog finds me, I really have fun in this game. While choosing dog I preferred twenty-one nail dogs. This is because 21 nails dog is considered as lucky dog. We have big farm house, at night my dog takes care of my farm house. My dog is really friendly with home people, so we take lot of care; the care of dog is regarding his food and walk 3 times a day. When my dog is with me that time I don’t tie him with chain. But when the dog is with servant, that time I tie his chain to a fancy dog collar and hand him to the servant.
Email rocks. It could potentially bring back the lost art of letter writing, if people would slow down enough to enjoy it. I use Yahoo! It’s free, it’s easy (even for someone as technically challenged as me,) and the layout is really user friendly. I could have email through my internet service provider, but that would require me to use the email program installed on my computer. Which is NOT as easy to use, and in the past, often got “stuck” and froze my system. The last time I tried setting up an email account through my service provider, it took four hours and I wound up cussing worse than a sailor. Yahoo works for me. Nothing like the old adage of “KISS”- Keep It Simple, Stupid!
